Granada International Sends Princesses And Nannies To Italy

Nanny 911

Leading distributor Granada International has sold a slew of reality programming to Fox Life in Italy, it was announced today by Nadine Nohr, Managing Director.

The channel which is broadcast on the Sky platform throughout Italy, has acquired series one and two of Nanny 911, both series of Australian Princess and American Princess.

The US Nanny 911 series will be aired to complement the hugely successful localized version of the show, Tata S.O.S., which has been created for Fox Life in Italy and is based on the Nanny 911 format.

Tim Mutimer, Director of Sales at Granada International, comments, “We believe this aspirational programming will work extremely well on Fox Life in Italy which is very much skewed to a young, female audience.  The local version of Nanny 911 has been extremely successful and I am sure the two series from the US will influence a new generation of Italian mothers.”

Laura Carafoli, Programming Manager at Fox Life adds, “We are delighted to have acquired these shows from Granada International.  They are strong reality based franchises which stand out thanks to their elements of fun and entertainment which will appeal to our particular viewer demographic.”

Nanny 911 sees a crack team of professional child-carers go to the rescue of desperate parents and tackle the issues causing chaos in their homes.   The nannies work their magic to transform the terrible tots.  But they don’t just look at kids behaving badly – in order to restore harmony they often have to tell the parents a few home truths too.

Australian and American Princess make dreams come true.  In each series fourteen average girls compete for the chance to become a princess, transformed by a team of royal experts led by Paul Burrell, former butler to Princess Diana.  For one lucky lady there is the ultimate prize – a lavish ball where she will dance with a real prince and be crowned a princess.
