Granada International Sells 400 Hours Of Drama To Broadcasters Through Eastern Europe

Granada International has made a raft of sales in Eastern Europe, one of the company’s targeted growth regions, it was announced today by Nadine Nohr, Managing Director.  

A substantial drama package has been closed with TVP1 in Poland.   A wide range of titles included in the deal are Mansfield Park, Emma and Northanger Abbey from recently released Jane Austen Collection, Emmy 2007 nominee Prime Suspect:The Final Act, Dracula, Ghostboat, Love Lies Bleeding and 13 Hollywood TV Movies including Wildfires, The Party Never Stops and A Valentine Carol and feature films such as Red Shoes, Black Narcissus, On Golden Pond and The African Queen.
 
Leading commercial broadcaster, ProTV Romania, the company which recently acquired Emmerdale and Dracula from Granada International, has taken a further new slate of drama programming including all the Prime Suspect series, every series of Agatha Chritie’s Poirot and Agatha Christie’s Marple and three titles from ITV’s recent breakout drama series the Jane Austen Collection.
 
In addition, STV in Slovakia has bought brand new drama releases launched at MIP TV including Instinct and Durham County and the Jane Austen titles, as well as all series of Inspector Morse and a number of Hollywood TV movies such as Swarm, The Party Never Stops and Write and Wrong.
